Stranded Taiwan Tourists Now Safe
THE Chinese Embassy in Peru said that the 20 Taiwan tourists stranded in torrential rains and mudslides in Peru have all been moved to safe areas.
Since the tourists were trapped on Tuesday in Machu Picchu in eastern Peru's Andes mountains, the embassy has repeatedly communicated with Peruvian authorities, urging them to intensify rescue efforts.
