KHALIL Ibrahim, leader of the rebel Justice and Equality Movement in the restive western region of Darfur, was killed this morning, the Sudanese military announced.
"Khalil Ibrahim was killed today morning at the Wad Banda area in the North Kordofan State" in central Sudan, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) said in a statement, without elaborating the circuntances of the killing.
