A suspected suicide bomber detonated his explosives inside a police station in Pakistan's northwestern Swat Valley today, killing 12 cadets and wounding several, a senior government official said.

"A training was going on when a suicide bomber disguising as a recruit walked into the building and blew himself up. We have reports that 12 were killed," Mian Iftikhar Hussain, information minister of the North West Frontier Province where Swat is located, said.
