Tanks from Gaddafi's Al-Aziziyah stronghold start shooting spree
AN unverified number of tanks left the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's al-Aziziyah stronghold and started shooting at people around today, al-Jazeera reported.
Citing rebel officers, the report said fighting continues in the al-Aziziyah area as rebel forces are trying to gain full control of the capital city.
Earlier reports said the forces loyal to Gaddafi, which now control only 15-20 percent of Tripoli, are still fighting against the rebels.
Earlier today, al-Jazeera said fighting had stopped in much of the city except Gaddafi's Bab Al-Aziziyah stronghold in the southern suburb.
