Thai backing for Silk Road projects

THAILAND appreciates and supports China’s 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and Silk Road Economic Belt initiative, Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said yesterday.
At a meeting with China’s Defense Minister Chang Wanquan, Prayut said Thailand was willing to take part in relevant projects.
Chang said China is willing to maintain strategic dialogue with Thailand, deepen bilateral cooperation in joint training, as well as multilateral security and defense industry, and make concerted efforts to safeguard regional security and stability.
Chang also met Thai Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwan during his visit.
