White House budget chief Orszag to step down
WHITE House Budget Director Peter Orszag plans to step down from his job in July, making him the first senior member of President Barack Obama's economic team to leave, the New York Times reported yesterday.
The Times, citing a person familiar with his plans, said Obama had urged Orszag to stay but the drafting of the next budget will begin soon and Orszag never planned to stay more than two years.
