Xi tribute to ‘great man’

FIDEL Castro will live forever, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Saturday in a message read out on television following the death of former Cuban leader Fidel Castro on Friday.
“The Chinese people have lost a good and true comrade,” Xi said in the message. “Comrade Castro will live forever.”
Castro was “a great man of our time,” the president added. “History and people will remember him.”
Xi said relations between the two nations grew quickly thanks to Castro’s efforts after diplomatic ties were established in 1960.
