Bus services across Canberra will receive a $14 million boost in tomorrow's ACT budget.

The ACT Government has announced $10 million worth of funding for 20 new ACTION buses.

Transport Minister Meegan Fitzharris said there would also be $3.5 million for the expansion of services in Weston Creek and Molonglo.

"For Weston Creek residents they'll now be a direct route from Weston Creek Coolamon Court right through to the city," she said.

"This new line will be called the Western Line and it will enable residents of Weston Creek to travel directly to the city every 30 minutes from 7:00am to 7:00pm."

Services will also increase from Wright, while new routes will be provided in Coombs, including to the recently opened Charles Weston School.

The Government will also provide an additional $775,000 to go towards the design of the new bus depot in Woden.

This announcement is ahead of the unveiling of Transport Canberra in July, which the Government is calling the "biggest reform" of transport in the capital's history.
