Australians to be deported from Bali after mid-air 'drunken brawl' grounds Jetstar flight

Five Australian men accused of disrupting a flight from Sydney to Phuket will be deported from Bali this evening.

The men were all sitting in the same row on Jetstar flight JQ27, when it is alleged a drunken fight broke out.

The group allegedly refused requests from the flight crew to remain seated.

The pilot diverted the flight to Bali's international airport and the Australians were detained.

The plane then continued to Thailand.

The men are expected to be sent home on separate flights once they are released by Indonesian immigration authorities.
