Construction company fined over worker's electrocution

The family of a South Australian man who was electrocuted while at work has been awarded $20,000 compensation, while his employer has been fined $45,000.
Bryson Leibhardt, 43, was working for the Millicent construction business Bissen on a site at Yahl, near Mount Gambier, when the incident happened on April 23, 2014.
He died after a section of metal he was holding came into contact with overhead wires.
The company was fined $45,000 for failing to provide a safe workplace.
The court also ordered the family of Mr Leibhardt receive $20,000 compensation.
The magistrate took into account it was the company's first offence and it had invested significant capital in safety training since the fatality.
