Australians have emerged winners from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) with four awards going to Mad Max: Fury Road for makeup, production design, editing and costume design.
But Cate Blanchett missed out on the best actress award for her role in Carol, with Brie Larson instead honoured for her role in Room.
Epic adventure film The Revenant was awarded best film and Leonardo DiCaprio picked up best actor for his role in the brutal tale of survival.
Aussie apocalyptic adventure Fury Road, released last year and 30 years after the last Mad Max, received seven nominations.
Director George Miller missed out on a personal nomination but the film received acknowledgement in the categories of cinematography, editing, production design, costume design, makeup and hair, sound and special visual effects.
But the film missed out on the awards for sound and special effects and John Seale, who came out of retirement for the film, also missed out on the award for cinematography.
The veteran cinematographer, who turned 70 during filming, said the movie was worth coming back to work for.
"Always, always. I've been retiring after a lot of films lately and this one was an exception," he told the ABC on the red carpet.
"It proves back home in Australia we have some of the best technicians in the world and this film will help that cause considerably."

BAFTAs fast facts:
- 120 metres of red carpet
- 325 umbrellas
- 2,000 guests
- 12,000 glasses of champagne
- Two weeks until the Oscars
Mr Seale was an Oscar award winner for The English Patient in 1996.
Margaret Sixel won in the editing category, but her husband, George Miller, missed out on a nomination for directing.
The Oscars are in two weeks and Mad Max is set to shine again.
It became the most nominated Australian film ever with 10 nominations, beating the eight that Moulin Rouge received in 2001.
Despite missing out on a director's nomination in Britain, Miller has been acknowledged at the Oscars.
Screen Australia chief Graeme Mason said the wide range of nominations across so many categories for Mad Max was important to note.
"I'm particularly pleased to see so many technical, production and design artists nomination — an area in which Australia continues to excel," he said when the nominations were announced.
But the BAFTAs are not without controversy.
A silent protest was held outside the ceremony at the Royal Opera House by the Creatives of Colour Network over the lack of diversity.
Two black actors were nominated for BAFTAs but protesters said it should be more, echoing the concerns raised in the US over the Oscars.
