Australian Bureau of Statistics figures show retail sales remained flat in July, missing analyst expectations as sales in groceries were offset by a slump in department store spending.
Retail sales rose 0.1 per cent in June, and Reuters poll of analysts expected the July figure to come in at 0.3 per cent.
More to come.
