SPD Silicon Valley Bank, the first technology bank in China dedicated to providing financial services for technology innovation firms, officially opened in Shanghai yesterday.
The bank, equally owned by Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and Silicon Valley Bank, said it has already launched a variety of onshore US dollar products and services. It plans to obtain the regulatory approval for yuan business in three years.
