AIG China launches road safety campaign
AIG China will be touring its road safety campaign in Shanghai through the end of this month, allowing visitors to experience various road issues by driving simulators.
The simulators, developed by AIG to help raise public awareness of road safety, will allow consumers to experience the hazards of driving in a city environment, see first-hand benefits of wearing a seatbelt during a low-speed incident, and bring to life the perils of drunk driving.
The national tour started from China's southern Guangzhou city in July this year and has received more than 16,000 visitors, the company said.
It has been in Shanghai's Pudong New Area and Huang Pu District in the past two weeks, and will go on to Baoshan and Xuhui districts in the rest of the month.
Eric Zheng, president and CEO of AIG China, said the tour aimed to educate the Chinese people on the importance of road safety and hopefully reduce injuries and fatalities on the roads.
