Alibaba partners with PetroChina

PetroChina Co Ltd has signed a framework collaboration deal with Alibaba Group and its financial services affiliate Zhejiang Ant Small Financial Services Group in a latest move to implement the "Internet Plus" initiative.
The two parties would leverage the Internet platform to launch projects regarding cloud computing, online mapping, logsitics services, Internet finance and joint marketing activities.
PetroChina hopes to drive synergies between its different business units and raise efficiency by leveraging Alibaba's capability of online marketing and data analyzing capability, according to a joint statement yesterday.
