Australian Business Chamber opens office in Shanghai

THE Australian Business Chamber, the world's second-largest business chamber, announced to set up its China Office in Shanghai today in a bid to further foster bilateral trade and investment.

The move was made after the signing of China-Australia Free Trade Agreement, the first of its kind between China and a developed country with relatively big economic size that removed duties of more than 85 percent of goods and services trade between the two countries.

China has been Australia's largest trading partner for both goods and services since 2007, accounting for nearly a third of Australia's total exports.
