Axalta's new plant

AXALTA Coating Systems, a coatings supplier to the transport and industrial sectors, will invest US$50 million to build a new plant in Shanghai. The new facility, pending final government approval, will supply up to 25,000 tons of paint to automobile makers that are expanding into south and central China, according to a statement yesterday. Construction may begin in the second half this year while production will begin in the first quarter of 2015, the company said.
