BASF partners with Chinese fertilizer maker to expand in the Chinese market

GERMAN chemical firm BASF strengthens its presence in the Chinese agricultural market by cooperating with local fertilizer producer Kingenta Ecological Engineering Group.
The two companies are to provide a more efficient chemical fertilizer, with BASF’s technology that can avoid volatilization of nitrogen by 90 percent, compared with 50 percent among similar conventional products.
The two groups signed a contract in Shandong Province, designating BASF on technical control while Kingenta for distribution in China.
The new product will be available in the market next month, accessible through more than 100,000 sales and service branches held by Kingenta across China.
