Bristol-Myers Squibb names new BMS China president

US biopharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb has named Karl Lintel as the new president of BMS China and its joint venture Sino-American Shanghai Squibb Pharmaceutical Co Ltd.

Lintel has acted as vice president and general manager of the company's Middle East and Africa unit since 2010.

He has also worked at UCB and Pfizer before joining BMS.

The US-based company said last year it plans to launch at least five new products in the next two years to drive sales in China.
