China dominates global production of electronic components

Nearly 39 percent of the world’s electronic components have been made in China this year, experts told the China Electronics Fair and China International Semiconductor Exhibition & Summit in Shanghai today.

Electronics for the auto and medical industries have developed extremely quickly this year, experts said. They added that wearable electronics present a strong market opportunity.

These new industries will all boost demand for electronics, especially integrated semiconductors, insiders said.
