Chinese tourists will continue to rank 1st in terms of overseas purchasing power: Booking.com
THE number of Chinese tourists traveling overseas and their purchasing power will continue to rank the first in the world, an industry giant has said.
It is estimated that the number of outbound tourists in China's mainland would achieve a growth of 16 percent this year to reach over 120 million for the first time in history, according to the Netherland-based Booking.com, the world's largest online hotel booking platform.
Japan, United States and Thailand are the top three most popular destinations to Chinese travelers, followed by Italy and France.
