Dell helps maker’s dreams come true

UNICORNS, start-up companies valued at over US$1 billion, are at the forefront of high-tech entrepreneurship in China.

China has around 47 unicorns, many involved in mobile Internet development or catering to special consumer groups, according to research firm ChinaVenture.

Unicorn entrepreneurs and CEOs are regarded as heroes of the digital era, and DELL, as an innovative and efficient technology company, is glad to help them pursue their dreams.

With its “In China and For China” strategy, DELL supports job creation and propels entrepreneurship and innovation, making it an important new engine for economic development with unlimited potential.

DELL fully supports and embraces the Internet Plus national strategy in China, where the information industry is developing rapidly and produces some of the world’s most successful enterprises.

With China’s “digital heroes” in mind, DELL has launched the Vostro 5459, an ultra-mobile laptop that greatly improves work efficiency.

This ultra-mobile laptop brings style back into the boardroom and invites collaboration with a 14-inch Full HD display option featuring IPS technology.

Its business-class design means hardworking performance that increases productivity. With a strong 6th-generation Intel Core processor and up to Core i7 performance, the model is tailor-made for unicorn stars.

Windows 10 security and an optional fingerprint reader make a hassle-free login experience and provide outstanding data protection. You can scan your fingerprint and get right down to business without typing in a PIN or password.

DELL looks at two top Chinese entrepreneurs who use DELL products. They are Wu Xinhong, CEO and founder of Meitu, which has more than 900 million picture optimization users nationwide, and Shen Lihui, CEO of Modernsky, organizer of the Strawberry Music Festival.

Shen Lihui, CEO of Modernsky

More than 100,000 young people attended the three-day Strawberry Music Festival earlier this month in Beijing and Shanghai, which becomes Austin-based SXSW(the South by Southwest) Conferences and Festivals offering unique convergence of original music, independent films and emerging technologies.

Shen is the man behind the Strawberry party. As a former musician, his achievement came from the music dream which never changes since boyhood.

Texas-based DELL, long-term sponsor of SXSW festival and partner of Strawberry, finds Shen to be tutors of young men with their own dreams.

Wu Xinhong, CEO and founder of Meitu

Meitu is the top application for making young people look more beautiful. It offers consumers easy picture optimization software and smartphones that are specially designed for selfie fans, including the about 100 million overseas users through its global expansion.

As the founder of Meitu, Wu’s success is not surprising. He has enjoyed art and photography since childhood, and his business is an extension of those interests.

His vision when founding Meitu was to make people as beautiful as they can be, achieving his dreams by making other people’s dreams come true.

Through cooperation with these two digital heroes, DELL hopes more people will pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. DELL’s technologies and products, including the Vostro 5459, will help make those dreams come true.
