Easier couriers in schools

A number of colleges including Zhejiang University and Hangzhou Normal University became the first batch of collaborators with Alibaba's logistics affiliate Cainiao Network and financial arm Ant Financial Services Group to enhance domestic colleges' informatization level and to lift efficiency.

The partnership will allow Alibaba's logistics and financial capabilities to be better integrated with existing facilities at these universities so that information technologies would play a bigger role.

According to an email statement yesterday, the company hopes this partnership would cover 1,000 universities within one year, and it hopes to leverage its existing capabilities in the payment, data analyzing, and logistics network to help the campuses to become better equipped with modern service facilities.

Cainiao Network said it plans to further expand its service network to cover more than 1,700 domestic colleges by the end of this year to better serve the booming packages from online shopping orders.

Currently there’re already service points in 1,200 colleges nationwide and they have served more than 15 million students.
