FTZ to launch more pilot programs this year: mayor

Shanghai Mayor Yang Xiong told a meeting yesterday that more pilot programs will be carried out in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone in 2014.

At the meeting to sum up last year's work to develop the zone and to set targets for 2014, Yang, who heads a group that oversees the FTZ operation, said good practices tested in the zone will be introduced nationwide to advance China's reform and opening.

Vice mayors Tu Guangshao, Ai Baojun and Zhou Bo and Pudong New Area Party secretary Shen Xiaoming attended the meeting.
