Freight capacity hiked
DEUTSCHE Lufthansa AG's cargo unit plans to increase freight capacity as it expects demand to rebound in the second half of the year.
The carrier expects to raise the capacity by 1 to 2 percent this year, Karl Ulrich Garnadt, who heads the unit, said after cutting it by 8.2 percent in 2012. Operating profit at the unit had fallen 58 percent in 2012 to 104 million euros (US$134 million).
