Game lifts profit

GIANT Interactive posted net profit growth of 12 percent in the fourth quarter of last year, thanks to its pillar game ZT Online 2, the Shanghai-based company said yesterday. Net profit was 326 million yuan (US$52.5 million) in the quarter, up 11.6 percent from the same period a year ago. The revenue totaled 572.8 million, an increase of 12.6 percent year on year. Liu Wei, chief executive officer of Giant, attributed the profit expansion to strong performance from ZT Online 2.
