Hall offers sneak peak of cutting-edge media center
SHANGHAI Dream Center, which is expected to open in 2018, will focus on the development of new media, science, technology and culture, and play a key role in the West Bund Media Port project, a vibrant cultural hub.
The center, once opened, will cover approximately 463,000 square-meters, incorporating seven zones and 12 architectural styles. The unique elements of the project are the culture venue, which features a 2,500-seat, multi-function theater, interactive concert halls and art exhibition halls.
It will explore new technologies, such as virtual reality and augmented reality, with the aim of integrating innovative and interactive experiences, and will support young local talent.
The Shanghai Dream Center exhibition hall officially opened last week at 2599 Longteng Road. At this 500 square-meter hall, visitors can get an early glimpse of what the completed center will offer.
One of the largest cultural investment projects in China, Shanghai Dream Center is a collaboration between Shanghai China Media Capital, Hong Kong Lan Kwai Fong Group, DreamWorks Animation, and China Development Bank Capital Corporation.
