Hirers to know the credit of students from Sesame Credit

Sesame Credit, personal credit rating unit under Ant Small Financial, will strengthen collaboration with domestic companies to introduce students’ credit rating to their hiring activities.

Dell China, McDonald’s and a number of companies are starting to include college students’ personal scores on Sesame Credit as one of the factors helping them decide the candidates for hiring.

Meanwhile, consumer credit online shopping site Qufenqi.com said it will offer a total of 10 million start-up loan to support college students’ start-up projects. They will also assess whether to grant them start-up loan based on the students’ personal credit rating on Sesame Credit.

The Central Bank last year gave nod to eight personal credit rating agencies to prepare for their launch but has not yet given the approval for any of them to officially open for business.

Yang Bo, general manager of Ant Small Finanicial’s public service unit, said teaming up with more enterprises in their hiring activities would help raise ordinary consumers’ awareness and connect Alipay with more everyday life services such as financial, accommodation and transportation besides payment.
