Hongqiao Internet Finance Zone opens

Changning District today opened its first Internet finance zone in the Hongqiao area to attract companies in the industry.
The first phase of Hongqiao Internet Finance Zone covers 50,000 square meters and will include a big data analysis center.
The zone, on Tongxie Road near Hongqiao International Airport, will also have hotels, office buildings, exhibition halls and commercial space.
A seven-story office building and a four-star hotel are planned in the area.
Ten companies including China UnionPay sand Lianxin Wealth set up offices in the zone yesterday. Another two P2P enterprises with registered assets of about 50 million yuan have agreed to enter the zone.
The district finance committee said the zone will eventually be expanded to 170,000 square meters.
