Ingersoll Rand Taicang Facility earns green building certificate
Ingersoll-Rand plc, a world leader in creating safe, comfortable and efficient environments, turned the global Earth Day event into a local effort when its new Trane Taicang Facility received the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) International Gold Certification for Office Buildings from the United States Green Building Council. Trane is a brand of Ingersoll Rand.
This award designates the Taicang plant as a top building for energy efficiency and comfort, and recognizes the facility for creating a healthy workplace for employees. Specifically, LEED certification measures how well a building performs across key sustainability metrics, including energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, water use, use of raw materials and more. LEED is the most recognized and advanced green building certification system in the world.
