Lujiazui Forum starts tomorrow
THE 2012 Lujiazui Forum opens tomorrow in Shanghai with the theme of reforming global governance.
About 800 participants from around the world will attend the 3-day forum, the largest of the past five years.
The forum, hosted by Zhou Xiaochuan, governor of the People's Bank of China, and Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng, will provide a platform for 165 speeches covering all aspects of global governance standards, how they are written and monitored.
The forum is part of Shanghai's efforts to propel itself to the top ranks of international financial centers by 2020.
