Matchmaking session to ensure successful CIIE
Exhibitors and buyers of medical equipment and health care products communicated and connected at a matchmaking session yesterday ahead of the first China International Import Expo in November.
The session brought together 26 exhibitors and 92 buyers from the medical equipment and health care sectors.
The China International Import Bureau invited buyers including Grade III Level A hospitals throughout the country, private medical institutions, well-known pharmaceutical retail chains and large pharmaceutical product distributors from provinces and cities to meet exhibitors from leading drug manufacturers such as Johnson & Johnson, Roche Holding AG, Bayer, Merck Group, Philips, Novartis, Sanofi, Medtronic, Siemens Healthineers, and GE Healthcare who were at the meeting.
The session served to help exhibitors and buyers raise their understanding and strengthen communications with each other to ensure a successful expo, a bureau spokesman said.
鈥淲e see the import expo as an opportunity to show our new ideas of health care for children,鈥 said Johnson Chong, senior vice president and co-founder of Time Medical, adding that the firm will debut a new product in Asia at the expo.
Japan鈥檚 Fujifilm said it will use the import expo to further cooperate and innovate with Chinese companies.
The session also invited the Food and Drug Administration, the Health and Family Planning Commission and Customs to talk about policies on the health care and pharmaceutical sectors.
On Wednesday, six companies including Artemed Group, Fujifilm, Draeger, Shinjuku Funamachi and Siemens Healthineers signed up for the second Import Expo next year.
