More CEOs believe revenue will grow this year, survey finds
More CEOs in China said they believe business revenue will improve this year along with a recovery in global sentiment, a PricewaterhouseCoopers survey said today.
According to the survey, 47 percent of chief executive officers said they are very confident about their company's income growth in the next 12 months, 7 percentage points more than last year's survey.
The proportion of CEOs believing the global economy will improve more than doubled from last year to 44 percent, according to the survey which covered 1,344 CEOs around the world, including 66 in China.
“Whilst this rise is clearly linked to the ongoing global recovery, it is also due to the continued strong performance of the domestic economy,” the report said.
However for the longer term, half of China CEOs said they are positive about business growth, down from last year's 56 percent.
The report attributed the drop to economic and social reforms that may further slow China's economic growth in the next few years.
