Neo Derm Group New look for center

HONG Kong-based medical aesthetic service provider Neo Derm Group on Thursday said it has spent 200 billion yuan (US$29 billion) to launch its first medical center under its "reenex" brand in Shanghai, its first step to tap the market outside of Hong Kong.

Covering an area of 1,300 square meters, the center is situated in People's Square and targets the city's white collar workers looking for anti-aging skin care treatments.

Launching reenex on the mainland is one of the first steps of Neo Derm Group's regional expansion. The group will introduce other premium services, such as permanent laser hair removal service, said Lim Meng Teng, founder and managing director of Neo Derm Group.

It will accelerate its expansion in Chinese mainland and enter Singapore in a bid to tap the Asia-Pacific Market.

Lim said they are optimistic despite the current economic environment because Chinese women, especially those in the major cities, are increasingly well-educated, have stronger purchasing power and demand higher quality beauty services.
