Organic food sells

GREEN and organic food produced in Heilongjiang Province has seen rising sales after companies in the northeast province bolstered efforts on quality control and brand building, said E Zhongqi, chairman of the Heilongjiang Provincial Association of Green Food Exhibition and Marketing.
“We have opened flagship stores around the country to sell Heilongjiang food directly to consumers, and we have participated in quite some premium fairs to raise people’s awareness of authentic Heilongjiang food,” E said. He noted BingDi, an edible oil producer in the province, has been certified in the European Union for its safe and healthy corn germ oil.
Last year, Heilongjiang hosted a green and organic food exhibition in Shanghai.
