Revenue of bathroom market rises

CHINA’S bathroom device and accessory market posted an annual revenue exceeding 100 billion yuan (US$14.5 billion) in 2016, due to rising urbanization rate, industry officials said during an exhibition held yesterday in Shanghai.
China’s urbanization rate is now about 50 percent compared with 70 to 80 percent in the West, which means great potential for the industry, said the China National Interior Decoration Association.
Digital technologies and customization have become major demand for Chinese consumers, who are willing to spend more on bathing and sanitary devices. The Kitchen & Bath China 2017, with 4,700 exhibitors, will close on Saturday in Shanghai.
