Salaries and promotional opportunities matter
SALARIES and promotional opportunities are two top factors for attracting and retaining employees in China, ZW HR Consulting said in a report.
It found 77 percent human resource professionals cited salaries and financial incentives as the most important factor, and career advancement came as the second highest selected by 51 percent respondents, when considering attracting talent to their organizations.
The survey covered 4,000 HR professionals across China.
Frank Yu, chairman of ZW HR Consulting, said sectors with skill shortage, such as information technology and life sciences, are particularly under salary pressure.
Besides, flexible working arrangements, health benefits and car allowance are considered the most desirable benefits for employees.
