Shanghai DreamCenter to open next year as new city landmark
MORE details about the highly-anticipated Shanghai DreamCenter project were released today at the West Bund Media Port in Xuhui District.
Officials said that the center, a cultural, art and recreational hub is expected to open to public in 2017. It will become a new landmark of culture and entertainment in the city.
Partners of the big cultural invested project include China Media Capital, DreamWorks Animation and Lan Kwai Fong Group.
Headquarters of Oriental Dreamworks will be located in the complex.
Lan Kwai Fong-style bars, eateries and clubs will be built along the Huangpu River in the Dream Center. "Each building is different and interesting to give people a special view on the West Bund," said Allan Zeman, chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Holdings Ltd.
Broadway shows and other famous performances will be staged at its varied theaters and concert halls.
