Shanghai GDP grows 7.4% in first three quarters

SHANGHAI'S economy expanded 7.4 percent year on year in the first three quarters of this year, Shanghai Statistics Bureau said today.
The growth clip compares with a 7.7 percent increase in national gross domestic product during the January-September period. Shanghai's GDP amounted to 1.44 trillion yuan (US$228.5 million) in the first three quarters of this year, accounting for 4.1 percent of the national total output.
