Shanghai international jewelry exhibition to open tomorrow

SHANGHAI International Jewelry Exhibition opens on Wednesday in town, with more than 1,300 exhibitors from 22 counties attending the event, marking it largest in fair's history by far.
The fair will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center for five days from May 6.
Products including gold, diamond, jade and amber will be displayed at nearly 2,700 booths on a floor space of 52,000 square meters.
Works made by domestic jewelry designers and amber collection are highlighted in this year's fair, as the products are getting popular among consumers due to relatively lower barrier for investment, said Yang Sisan, vice chairman at Gems and Jewelry Trade Association of China, at a conference today.
