ShanghaiMart led more by innovation industry
SHANGHAIMART, an exhibition and office services provider established in 1999, has been under transformation to become led more by innovation industry after a share transfer, according to its top executive.
“ShanghaiMart has kept reforming itself in the past two years,” said Li Yulin, chief of ShanghaiMart. “We hope to get involved more in the innovation industry to nurture new growth points.”
In September of 2014, Shanghai Industrial Urban Development Group Ltd and Na Fung Group jointly invested in ShanghaiMart through a share transfer. They together planned an upgrading of the firm from its traditional business of exhibition and office building services.
The first project was unveiled last month, when the 8,200-square-meter fourth floor of ShanghaiMart was turned into an interactive playground for fans of Transformers, which are popular animation figures of robots.
Partnered with Gewara, ShanghaiMart has made its fourth floor, used to be part of its exhibition areas, a center for innovation-oriented activities. Up till October 23, events with a theme of Transformers are to be held there, while new themed projects will be rolled out later.
Gewara also invested 20 million yuan (US$3 million) to build a cinema catered to art films in ShanghaiMart.
