IN the latest government effort to conserve energy and boost domestic demand, China will provide subsidies to buyers of energy-saving desktop computers, the Ministry of Finance said yesterday.
Consumers will receive 260 yuan (US$41.27) in subsidies on purchases of desktop computers that meet certain energy-saving requirements, according to a ministry.
The subsidy program will start next Monday and last one year, the statement said.
