US university holds workshop in Shanghai

THE University of Wisconsin-Madison and Shanghai's Minhang District Government hosted a workshop on sustainable urban environments in Shanghai today to share knowledge and enhance communication for further cooperation.
The workshop, themed Innovation for the Future, invited leading scholars and experts from both home and abroad to discuss on topics including energy efficiency, environment protection, waste water purification and recycled materials.
Angela Pakes Ahlman with the university's Office of Sustainability, said "we want to share our knowledge, research and other educational resources with Shanghai and China to further the connection between us."
The UW-Madison has established an innovation office in Minhang District to formalize the cooperation.
