THE State of Virginia in the United States opened its China office in Shanghai yesterday, said Bob McDonnell, the state's governor.
He is on a two-week business trip to Japan, China and South Korea. The office is located at Shanghai Center.
Virginia officials said the new office will give Chinese companies the opportunity to work directly with the state.
Virginia companies will also work closely with their Chinese counterparts to develop new products and services for Chinese consumers.
