Yangtze River Airlines opens passenger flight routes from Shanghai

YANGTZE River Airlines today announced to open a batch of flights from Shanghai to become the fifth passenger airlines based in Shanghai after China Eastern, Shanghai Airlines, Spring and Juneyao airlines.

The airline owned by the Hainan Airlines was established in July 2002 and only operates domestic and international cargo flights. The airline will begin operating returned passenger flights between Pudong International Airport and Sanya in south Hainan Island, Guiyang in southwest Guizhou Province and Zhuhai in southeast Guangdong Province.

The airline's first passenger flight Y87501 will take off from the Pudong airport at 7:45am tomorrow to Sanya with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The airline so far has 26 aircraft with over 40 cargo flight routes across the world.

The airline announced its ticket price will be lower than other local-based carriers.
