2m cars face recall

SAIC-GM, a joint venture between SAIC Motor and General Motors, will recall about 2.16 million vehicles in China because the engine crankcase ventilation valves may corrode, the quality watchdog said yesterday.
The affected cars include 833,922 Buick Excelles, 1.15 million Chevy Cruzes, 158,965 Chevy Epicas and 18,237 Chevy Aveos, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement released on its website. The vehicles were produced between February 14, 2009, and April 27, 2016. The recall will start on August 15.
