BAIC eyes sales lift
BEIJING Automotive Industry Holding Co, China's fifth-largest auto maker, aims to lift sales to 3.5 million units by 2015 focusing on self-branded cars.
BAIC, as the Chinese partner of Daimler AG and Hyundai Motor Corp is known, plans to build a new facility in Hebei Province that will start operation as early as the end of 2012, its Chairman Xu Heyi said.
Its first self-branded vehicle, a mid-to-high-class sedan using Saab's technology will be mass produced by the end of this year.
