BMW to recall Mini Coopers

BMW said it will recall 3,406 Mini Cooper models in China to fix a fault in the water pump, part of its global recall of 235,000 units.
The affected cars in China are the Mini Cooper S, Mini Cooper S Cabrio, Mini Cooper S Clubman and Mini Cooper S Countryman, made between March 2006 and January 2011, BMW said in an e-mail yesterday.
In a statement on Monday, BMW said the water pump may malfunction and cause the electronic circuit board to overheat and catch fire.
