A battery-powered Cadillac is being planned by General Motors Co. The variant of the company's highly anticipated Chevy Volt could be available in 2013.
The Volt will cost around US$40,000 and is expected to go on sale in November. The Cadillac Converj variant will be aimed at consumers "who don't mind paying a large price for a luxury vehicle," said Bob Lutz, GM's vice chairman.
