Car maker diversifies

ANHUI Jianghua Automobile Co yesterday said it would invest up to 392 million yuan (US$60 million) to add new sport-utility vehicles and vans to its portfolio.
The 294.8 million yuan investment on new SUV models includes upgrading assembly lines, the nation's leading light commercial vehicle producer said in a statement yesterday.
Another 97.5 million yuan will be used to expand its self-developed vans aimed at the higher market segment, it added.
